There's a Red Wine for Everyone
Rich, flavorful and bold. Or, smooth and refreshing. There's a red wine that will suit just about anyone. And our selection and flavor profile system make it easy to find something you'll love.
Shopping with our Flavor Profiles
To take the guess work out of finding wine, our store is organized by "Flavor Profiles" instead of varietal. So, all the wines with similar flavors are grouped together. It's the easy and fun way to find wine with similar styles you'll love, every time.
- Berry: Medium to light bodied, fresh fruit flavors. This profile includes most of our Merlots and Pinot Noirs.
- Spice: Very aromatic, spice on palate such as clove, anise and white pepper. This profile includes most of our Spanish and French Reds.
- Earth: Dusty, leather, tobacco. Ripe fruit, not as aromatic. Sometimes referred to as "old world style." This profile includes mose of our Italian Reds and Carmeneres.
- Bold: Mature fruit, deeper, richer, full bodied. Most of our Cabernet Sauvignons, Syrahs and Malbecs are in this profile.

Did You Know?
Red wines actually get their color - and some of their flavor - from grape skins. Most grape juice is naturally clear. Wine makers leave the crushed grape skins in the fresh grape juice during fermentation, producing the color and adding flavor to the wine. |
About Red Wine and Food
For many years people have believed that certain wine can only be enjoyed with certain types of food. Some may insist you have to choose red with meat, for example. It's very true that some types of food will bring out the flavor in your wine more than others and we can give you advice if you want it. But, the most important thing is that you like what you are drinking. So go ahead and enjoy a red with your fish dinner if that's what you want. |
